Although Government funding is decreasing, Fast Forward may be able to offer valuable funding support for certain training and qualifications.
Leadership and management advisory service (LMAS) funding – New for 2011/12
A new funding scheme supporting Leadership and Management training for companies located in the South East and South West is now available through Skills South East. The grant scheme can offer up to £1000 matched funding towards the cost of training in Leadership and Management. For example, 50% of the cost of your training up to a maximum of £1000 which can be used for:
- Workshops
- Online training
- Training programmes
- Tailored training options
- Peer learning
- Higher Education qualifications
To be eligible for funding, companies must meet the following criteria:
- Employ between 2 – 250 staff
- Display the potential for high or fast growth, defined as:
- if trading for more than 12 months have the potential to increase turnover and/or number of employees by 20% each year for three years
- if trading for less than 12 months have the potential to achieve a turnover of £500,000 within three years of trading
- Social Enterprise, have the potential to increase turnover and/or number of staff by 10% in each of the next 3 years.

European Social Funded Projects
Fast Forward at New College Swindon operates European Social Funded (ESF) projects aimed at providing unemployed people and those at risk of redundancy, with the skills to move back into employment.
This means that we can work with employers who are looking to recruit by offering a bespoke package of training for unemployed individuals. This gives them the basic skills needed to move back into employment. We can work with you to develop a specific package of training to enable you to recruit from a pool of individuals who have been trained specifically to start work in your company.
